يعتبر لبان الذكر العماني من أجود أنواع اللبان، هناك اربع انواع من اللبان العماني ويمكن تقسيمهم حسب الافضلية والجودة، فأجودها هو الذي يسمى (الحوجري) نسبة إلى حوجر في جبل سمحان،
طريقة تحضير منقوع لبان الذكر الحوجري للشرب
إضافة ملعقة كبيرة من مسحوق لبان الذكر إلى كوب الماء، مع التقليب الجيد.
ترك المنقوع لمدّة لا تقل عن 12 ساعة، لمنحه الوقت الكافي ليذوب تمامًا في الماء.
تصفية المنقوع بمصفاة للحصول على المشروب صافي دون أي شوائب، وبهذا يكون جاهز لشربه.
يستخدم اللبان في الكثير من العلاجات والوصفات الشعبية في بلاد الخليج العربي وكل دولة في الوطن العربي تطلق اسم مختلف ولكن الجميع يتفق على حب اللبان بجميع اشكاله .
موخرا اصبح يدخل في صناعة البخور وانواع من الكريمات المحلية، طبعا بالاضافة الى استخداماته السابقة في مجالات كثيرة كعلاجات الشعر والبشرة ويستخدم في تعطير المنازل.
